At Willington Primary School we strongly encourage all pupils to wear school uniform. We believe that wearing a school uniform helps promote a strong sense of identity within school and the community which creates pride in the children and their school. It makes them feel part of our school family.
Clothing with brand labels and logos is not considered appropriate for use at school.
Our School Uniform consists of the following:
- Grey/Black skirts, pinafores or trousers
- White or red polo shirt
- Red sweatshirt or cardigan
- Black or brown sensible shoes
The PE Uniform consists of:
- Pair of shorts or jogging bottoms
- T-shirt or sweatshirt
- Black plimsolls or trainers
All clothes should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Kit Bag – It’s a good idea to find something unusual or to customise your child’s bag with so they can find it easily on a row of pegs.
If it is wet and your child wears Wellington boots they also need to bring indoor shoes and a peg to keep their Wellingtons/boots together.
Jewellery is not allowed in school. If your child has pierced ears they should wear small studs in school and will need to take them out themselves for swimming or PE.
