Headteachers Welcome Message

Welcome to Willington Primary and Nursery School.

This website gives you essential information about the school and tells you about day-to-day arrangements. It also contains some brief details about our curriculum and staffing, but cannot possibly do justice to the rich variety of experience which is available for our pupils here.

A great deal information, including policies, guidance on a whole range of matters and up-to-date news is available on our school website.

There are several aspects of the school which I would like to emphasise:

High quality learning experiences
Children are better learners when they feel happy and secure. We place vital importance on the physical and emotional well-being of our pupils. We ensure we provide the best possible personalised curriculum with excellent teaching and learning as key priorities.

A wide range of extra curricular activities
The school offers a wide range of extra curricular activities including a breakfast club. Please contact the school if you need any further information.

Community Links
We are at the heart of the community and are proud of the strong links we have with the local area. We firmly believe education is a partnership between home and school. Together we can work for the benefit of your child’s education.

Our website deals with most aspects of school life, but this does not prevent you from asking questions about any areas concerning the education of your child or anything else that concerns you during your time with us. This is especially so during periods of change and uncertainty. As headteacher, I am always able to make time to talk to parents, so please do not hesitate to ask.

I look forward to meeting you and your child.

Mrs Harker
Headteacher
