In the summer term children in reception class sent handmade birthday cards to Her Majesty for her ninetieth birthday and photos of their own celebrations which they held in honour of Her special day. The Queen received the cards and wrote back thanking them. Miss McCartney said ‘The children got a lovely surprise when they received a letter of thanks from the Queen herself. They were so  excited to hear back from the palace!’
