The school rules are intentionally few in number and written concisely to ensure children can remember and understand them. The rules are permanently displayed around the school in each classroom, and they are consistently referred to by all staff.
- We are ready to engage in learning – BE READY
- We are respectful to everyone and to our environment – BE RESPECTFUL
- We act safely at all times – BE SAFE

Be ready principles:
- We encourage children to take ownership of their learning and show readiness to learn by being present, positive and engaged. We actively take part in all learning.
- We follow our school structures and routines.
- We show we are ready with our whole body.
- We are prepared for what is next.

Be respectful principles:
- Relationships and attitudes at WPS are built on mutual respect. Respect means we accept somebody for who they are, even when they are different from us or we don’t agree with them. This respect extends to ourselves, one another, our equipment and our school environment.
- We use a respectful voice.
- We listen respectfully.
- We have good manners.
- We look after our equipment and environment

Be safe principles:
It is essential that everyone in our school community feels safe at school and that we conduct ourselves in a way that ensures the safety of everyone. This includes emotional and physical safety.
- We keep each other physically safe.
- We keep each other emotionally safe by being kind.
- We keep our environment safe and use equipment safely.
- We follow adult instructions.
Underlying Principles We aim to create an environment that is safe, where everyone feels respected and where pupils come into each lesson ready to engage in learning.
