Reduce, Re-use, Recycle!
Our after school Nature Club has a motto – ‘Reduce, Re-use, Recycle’. This week they have been investigating how we can recycle our normal everyday rubbish. Mrs Johansen had brought in some old coffee jars. The children decided to put pen to paper (scrap paper of course) and designed a picture that could be used to decorate jars, giving them a new lease of life as a beautiful tea-light holder. As you can see they have created a wonderful ornament from something we would usually throw away! Well done Nature Clubbers! Why don’t you have a go at turning your trash into treasure. Save the earth and your wallet by introducing your children to crafts they can make with recycled materials rather than expensive art supplies. There are some wonderful examples on the internet if you are stuck for ideas. Go on and have a go and be inspired by our Nature Clubbers! They would love to see your finished creations.
